About the Meeting

When: Thursday, March 26, 2026 - 12 pm - 1 pm EST

About: Clinical teams across the National Infusion Collaborative continue to explore novel applications of smart infusion pump data beyond traditional compliance and alert metrics. As libraries become more complex and multidisciplinary workflows expand, new approaches to supporting safe programming and concentration selection are emerging.

This quarter, the National Infusion Collaborative will be joined by Nat Sims, MD, and Isabelle Yang, MD from Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), with Robert Butterfield, AAMI Fellow, to share the innovation story behind PumpIQ.

PumpIQ, developed at MGH in collaboration with members of the ASHP Standardize for Safety Advisory Panel, is a mobile and web-based clinical decision support tool that functions as a searchable directory of hospital-specific drug libraries. The application enables users to identify available concentrations and formulations, locate the appropriate entry within the pump drug library, verify pump flow rates for a specified dose, and provide an additional safety check to reduce programming errors and cognitive burden.

We will also review key network trends and highlights, and reserve time for a moderated Q&A with the panel.
