National Infusion Collaborative December 2024 Meeting: IV Fluid Mitigation Efforts

This fall's unprecedented hurricane damage led to a nationwide shortage of large-volume intravenous (IV) fluids.
Several mitigation strategies have been suggested to conserve IV fluids and lessen the burden of this shortage. As health systems navigate which mitigation strategies to implement, Baptist Health will share how they have successfully reduced their overall IV fluid utilization by more than 40%.
